The Dorchester and District U3A offers a programme of educational and leisure interests which are described in the pages of this website with up to date information, membership details, contacts and links to other websites of related interest particularly that of the National Office of the Third Age Trust.

A warm welcome to existing members and prospective new members.

U3A? – The University of the Third Age where ‘university’ is used in its original sense – a place where people can come to learn and to enjoy the sharing of knowledge, interests and ideas. It is a worldwide learning organisation of over 270,000 members in the UK alone who are no longer in full-time employment and have reached their ‘third age’, a time to keep minds and bodies alert and active.

We are located in Dorchester, the County Town of Dorset in the south of England. The town is surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside close to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.
